FIFA reject Chelsea’s transfer ban appeal

FIFA have confirmed their decision to reject Chelsea’s appeal against their transfer ban.

As reported by Matt Law, Chelsea now face the prospect of going to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in a bid to get their ban frozen and overturned.

Chelsea will be hoping for the latter at the very least, as they try to gain permission to sign players during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Blues have though been allowed to sign players under the age of 16 during the ban.

Chelsea will still hold out hope of getting the ban frozen for the summer, a luxury that was afforded to the likes of Barcelona before their previous transfer ban was put into place.

Christian Pulisic is set to join Chelsea this summer and the move will still go ahead as planned with the deal agreed before the ban was put in place, but it remains to be seen if anyone will follow him through the doors at Stamford Bridge.
