Chelsea are interested in CSKA Moscow right-back Mario Fernandes, according to journalist Guillem Balague.
The Brazil-born Russia international has been a key player for the Russian Premier League side since ditching South America for Moscow in 2012.
As well as Chelsea; Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are all believed to be interested in Fernandes, who according to Balague, will be available for around €25million this summer.
Labelled a summer bargain by Balague, Fernandes is reportedly ready to make the jump to the top, and has plenty of interested parties in his services.
The Blues may not be able to make a move for the full-back this summer though, with their transfer ban still having been upheld, although they have launched an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
With Davide Zappacosta reportedly on the way out, and with Cesar Azpilicueta no longer suited to playing on the right side of defence, Fernandes would be a good addition to Chelsea’s squad.
For now though, unless their ban is removed, the Blues may be forced into handing talented starlet Reece James his Premier League debut this season.
