Cech plays down talk of Chelsea return

Petr Cech says his sole focus is on the upcoming Europa League final, rather than his future.

The veteran goalkeeper has been tipped to return to Chelsea in the summer, potentially taking on the role of sporting director.

Cech announced that he would retire from football back in January, with the last appearance of his career fast approaching.

The Czech Republic legend is expected to start in goal against the Blues on May 29, as he aims to bow out in style.

Cech took to Twitter on Tuesday night to play down the rumours, saying he is only thinking about the final:

The thought of Cech returning in some capacity will please Chelsea fans, with the 37-year-old a popular figure during a great spell at the club.

He won four Premier League titles with the Blues, as well as the Champions League in 2012.
