Napoli and Juventus join Chelsea in race to sign Manolas

Chelsea have been joined by Napoli and Juventus in the race to sign Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas this summer.

According to Bianco Nero, via Calcio Mercato, Napoli are considering a swoop for Manolas, whilst Juventus also hold an interest in the strong defender.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Manolas as they look to strengthen their squad, in the event that their two-window ban is delayed until next year.

The report does, however, claim that Juventus are not entirely convinced by Manolas. Juventus are not sure that he fits the profile of player that they are looking to bring to the club ahead of next season.

Manolas joined Roma from Olympiacos in 2014 and has made over 200 appearances for the club to date – scoring nine goals from defence.

The Greek international has built a reputation as being one of the best defenders in the Serie A over recent seasons, attracting interest from elsewhere.
