The Eden Hazard transfer saga has taken another twist in the tale, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez confirming their interest in the winger.
For many seasons now, Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants have been unable to sign the Belgium winger.
However, for the first time in this ongoing battle for the winger who has been labelled as one of the best in the world, president Perez has admitted he is interested in signing Chelsea’s talisman this summer.
Talking to the Spanish media, cited by the Daily Mail, Perez said:
I am very interested in him coming to Real Madrid and I am very hopeful that he will come this year.
He is one of the best in the world.
With this being the first time that Perez has come out and said anything, could this be the season that he finally leaves the Bridge?
With Real Madrid having a season to forget, finishing third in the league behind rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Real need to bring in a player who will replace the large hole left by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The problem for Chelsea is who could replace such a player how his quality, especially considering the Blues possible have a two-window transfer ban ahead of them.
