Victory in the Europa League final would be “perfect farewell” says Hazard

Eden Hazard has revealed that winning the Europa League would be the “perfect farewell” if he is to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid this summer.

The Belgian has been strenuously linked with a move to Los Blancos multiple times throughout his time at Stamford Bridge, with speculation increasing this season.

And ahead of Chelsea’s Europa League final clash against rivals Arsenal on Wednesday evening, Hazard has revealed that victory would be the ideal way to say goodbye if he does leave the club this summer, talkSPORT report.

It is a European competition, so for me, for the club, for the manager, for the fans, it is something important.

I just want to win the trophy, that is it. It does not matter if I score or I do not score. If it is my last game, I hope to bring the trophy. Would it be the perfect farewell? Yes.

Hazard has enjoyed his finest season in a Chelsea shirt in the 2018/19 campaign, scoring 19 goals and creating 16 assists in all competitions.
