Arsenal victory parade can be put on hold says Chelsea’s Azpilicueta

Having already planned a potential victory parade, Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta is determined to spoil the party by beating the Gunners in the Europa League final tonight.

To the surprise of many, including those in the Chelsea camp, Arsenal publicly released their schedule for the potential celebrations that could take place on the eve of the highly anticipated clash against their London rivals.

The Blues, however, have no intention of such a parade as things stand and say they must focus on the final itself to ensure they come home from Baku with silverware.

The Evening Standard reported Chelsea’s captain saying:

We didn’t plan a parade, but it doesn’t mean were not hungry and determined to win the trophy.

The stakes are certainly higher for Arsenal, who need a win to guarantee Champions League football next season through the Europa League winner’s prize. Chelsea are already guaranteed this luxury by finishing third in the Premier League.
