Bakayoko looks set to be offloaded once more

After signing from Monaco for around £40 million after an amazing 2016/17 season, Bakayoko has failed to ever really get going with the Blues after making just 24 appearances in the league and registering just two goals and two assists.

His form picked up while on loan at Serie A giants AC Milan, but with a lack of Champions League funds it looks like Bakayoko’s time is up once more, with Gennaro Gattuso also on his way out at the San Siro.

Chelsea however, have already started looking for the Frenchman’s next destination and have turned to Inter.

According to Sport Mediaset, as cited on Inside Futbol, the Nerazzurri have been offered the same loan package as what Milan bargained for last year and it just remains a matter of time before they decide whether to take up the deal or not.

Either way, his current Chelsea contract runs until the summer of 2022. Back in February Bakayoko revealed to Italian media, as cited on talkSPORT that staying at Milan would have been a dream for him.

Staying at Milan is my dream and the fixed thought in my mind

Some things, however, are just not meant to be.
