PSG eyeing move for Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho

Paris-Saint Germain are reportedly eyeing up a move for Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho this summer, with Barcelona willing to sell if the price is right.

The former Liverpool star has performed inconsistently this season and therefore regularly whistled by his own supporters at the Nou Camp – going down in the record books as a flop to many.

Thomas Tuchel is seemingly ready to offer Coutinho an exit route though with AS, cited by the Daily Mail, claiming the French champions want to sign him on a loan deal with an option to buy.

It is said that PSG will look to offload Thomas Meunier and Edinson Cavani to free up funds to afford the transfer, however, Barca’s £89million valuation of the 26-year-old could prove to be a stumbling block in negotiations.

Chelsea may be on the look-out for a goalscoring winger ahead of Eden Hazard’s hard-hitting departure, and the Philippe Coutinho links make sense if he were to replace the Belgian on the left wing.
