Chelsea have made contact with Ajax over David Neres

Chelsea are one of a number of clubs to have contacted Ajax over a potential deal for David Neres.

According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea have asked Ajax about Neres as they consider a swoop for the forward.

The report claims that Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool are also interested in the Ajax star, who impressed in Holland this season.

Neres played 28 league games for Ajax, scoring eight and assisting eight, whilst also finding the back of the net three times in the Champions League for the Dutch giants.

Ajax are said to be prepared to sell Neres to the highest bidder, but there is no mention of an offer from any clubs so far.

The 22-year-old joined Ajax from Sao Paulo in 2017 and has scored 29 goals in 95 first-team appearances for the club in all competitions, whilst also having been capped twice by Brazil at international level.
