According to German outlet Bild, as cited on the Daily Mail, Chelsea could consider former RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick as a potential candidate to replace Maurizio Sarri if he leaves the club this summer.
It was reported by Sky Sports last week that Chelsea will allow Sarri to leave for Italian champions Juventus this summer, providing an agreement can be reached with the Old Lady.
Rangnick led a young RB Leipzig side to an impressive third-place finish and Champions League qualification during the 2018/19 Bundesliga season.
The 60-year-old stepped in on a temporary basis with the club preparing for Julian Nagelsmann to take over ahead the 2019/20 season.
RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has already confirmed in a press conference that Rangnick will be leaving the club this summer to become New York Red Bulls’ head of sport and development.
However, the Daily Mail’s report claims that a proposed move to Stamford Bridge would be hard for Rangnick to turn down.
