Sarri joined Chelsea from Italian side Napoli last summer and will now be returning to his homeland, with moving back to Italy said to be part of his reasoning behind leaving the Blues.
Despite some criticism towards the start of the campaign, Sarri led Chelsea to a third-place finish in the Premier League and secured the Europa League crown with a 4-1 win over Arsenal in the final.
Chelsea will now be on the search for their next manager, with Frank Lampard heavily linked with the job after his debut season in management with Derby County ended in a play-off final defeat to Aston Villa.
