Chelsea reject £35m Willian bids from Barcelona and Atletico

Chelsea have reportedly rejected bids in the region of £35 million for Willian from Spanish pair Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Sky Sports News reports that both La Liga clubs are looking to sign the player this summer, but Chelsea are not interested in selling.

Barcelona have been long-term admirers of Willian and are clearly still keen to sign him.

Chelsea have been reluctant to sell the Brazilian in the past and are likely to be even more so this summer after Eden Hazard’s departure.

Willian is likely to play an increasingly important role in the first-team squad next season after the Belgian’s move to Real Madrid.

He will be competing with new signing Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi for the starting spots on each wing.

Barcelona had several bids rejected for Willian last year but regular first-team football may not always be on offer for him at the Camp Nou.
