According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea’s new signing Christian Pulisic will cut his holiday time short this summer in order to impress his new manager.
The 20-year-old was signed in the January transfer window for a fee of around £58 million but was loaned back straight away to Dortmund for the remainder of the season.
The American didn’t have the best of times last season as Dortmund manager Lucien Favre preferred young English forward Jadon Sancho to him on that right flank.
Pulisic made 30 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund last season, in which he scored seven times as well as assisting six.
With that £58 million pound price tag on his neck and Hazard gone, Pulisic will be under pressure to impress for the Blues straightaway.
Frank Lampard is widely expected to be named as Maurizio Sarri’s successor and the Chelsea new boy is clearly keen to impress.
