Chelsea are reportedly keen on Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde, with the teenager keen on a Premier League switch this summer.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, relayed in an article by Sport Witness, the Blues are interested in a deal for the highly-rated 16-year-old, who reportedly already has his ‘bags packed’ for a move to England.
However, the same report suggests that Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Liverpool are currently the favourites to sign Balde, with Barcelona still hopeful of keeping the defender on the books at the Nou Camp.
A potential deal for Balde looks set to be complex for the Blues due to the club’s two-window transfer ban.
If Chelsea have their two-window ban frozen this summer, then Balde may well make a switch to Stamford Bridge, and the teenager would more than likely be placed in the club’s academy setup.
Balde is regarded as a future first-team star by the Catalan giants, so securing a deal for the 16-year-old could prove to be a brilliant piece of business by the Blues, if they can get a deal over the line.
