Hudson-Odoi ‘on the verge’ of penning Chelsea deal

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is ‘on the verge’ of putting pen to paper on a new long-term contract at the club, according to The Telegraph

The England international enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season despite being handed limited first-team chances by Maurizio Sarri, and now looks set to be rewarded with an improved deal.

Hudson-Odoi sustained an Achilles injury in April that ruled him out for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign, but plans are in place for him to play an involved role next term.

Frank Lampard is poised to leave Derby County and be appointed as the new Chelsea boss, and in turn, it seems one of the club’s most promising youngsters is about to commit his future to the cause.

Hudson-Odoi will, as per The Telegraph, sign a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with his existing deal entering its final year.

The extension of the 18-year-old’s stay in West London comes after both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain showed strong interest in recent months.
