Loftus-Cheek signs new long-term Chelsea contract

Chelsea have officially confirmed that Ruben Loftus-Cheek has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The club have revealed that Loftus-Cheek has put pen to paper on an extended deal at Stamford Bridge, following Frank Lampard’s arrival earlier this week.

Lampard has been appointed as Maurizio Sarri’s successor and has now managed to already convince Loftus-Cheek to commit his future to the club, which will come as a massive boost for the former Derby County boss.

Loftus-Cheek is currently out with an Achilles injury, but is expected to be back before the end of the year, after an excellent 2018/19 campaign.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals in 40 appearances for Sarri’s side as Chelsea finished 3rd in the Premier League and won the Europa League.
