Lampard planning talks with Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is planning talks with winger Callum Hudson-Odoi over his future at the club.

The new Chelsea boss says that he wants Hudson-Odoi to be central for the club on the pitch next season.

Lampard claims that he is going to speak with Hudson-Odoi in an attempt to keep him at Stamford Bridge, amid reported interest from German giants Bayern Munich – who have had an offer rejected for the forward already this summer.

Hudson-Odoi broke into the first-team set-up last season under Maurizio Sarri, but struggled for game time in the Premier League, which Lampard could now offer him next term.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Lampard said this:

I have seen Callum come through and he is a fantastic talent. We all know that and I will speak to him and I want him to stay.

I know the club want him to stay and for me, he is going to be central for us on the pitch and that is the opportunity that is really in front of him now, certainly from where I am sitting. So that is something I will speak to him about and I hope he stays.
