Hertha Berlin closing in on deal for Redan

Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea academy star Daishawn Redan.

According to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, Hertha are on the verge of agreeing a fee with Chelsea to bring the forward over to Germany this summer.

Redan has been linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge throughout the summer, with previous reports citing that he is concerned about his chances of making the first-team at the club.

The Dutch youth international now appears set to get his move, with Hertha potentially offering him first-team football in the Bundesliga next season – if he can impress.

Redan has scored 42 goals in 73 youth games for Chelsea and Ajax over the past few seasons, but is yet to make his senior debut in professional football. He has also 42 goals for Holland across various youth levels.
