Lampard wants Zouma to stay at Chelsea next season

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has revealed that he wants Kurt Zouma to stay at the club next season.

Speaking after Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Kawasaki Frontale in Japan, Lampard confirmed that he would like to keep Zouma at Stamford Bridge.

Zouma spent last season on loan to Everton in the Premier League and has been heavily linked with a return to Goodison Park.

The 24-year-old played 32 games in the league for Everton, scoring twice, and caught the eye with his performances – with Lampard now wanting him to fight for his place at Chelsea next season.

David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are the current first-choice centre-backs at the club.
