Chelsea have officially confirmed that defender Jake Clarke-Salter has signed a new deal with the club and joined Birmingham on a season-long loan.
Clarke-Salter has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Chelsea, taking him through to the summer of 2022.

He will now spend the 2019/20 campaign on loan to Birmingham in the Championship as he looks to take the next step in his career.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan to Vitesse in Holland and put in a number of solid displays at the back.
Birmingham have also confirmed in their statement that they have beaten off competition from a number of sides to land the centre-back.
