Reading have officially confirmed the signing of Chelsea defender Matt Miazga on a season-long loan.

Miazga returns to Reading after spending the second half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan to the Royals in the Championship.
The USA international impressed during his time down south and is now set to spend the season at The Madejski as they aim to avoid relegation from the second tier for another year.

Miazga joined Chelsea from New York Red Bulls in 2016 and has played two first-team matches for the club – both coming in the Premier League.
Before his move to Reading earlier this year, Miazga spent time on loan to Vitesse – two seasons – and Nantes – six months.
