Tottenham have contacted the representatives of Chelsea star Willian regarding a potential January move, according to reports.
Willian is out of contract with Chelsea in the summer and whilst the Blues seemingly want to keep the Brazilian international, they want to do so with a short-term extension.
The 31-year-old, understandably, would like more than one year on his new contract and that could prove to be a sticking point.
Jose Mourinho has been a big fan of Willian ever since the duo were together at Chelsea and he even tried to sign the winger when he was in charge of Manchester United.

If Willian has no intention of signing a one year deal and if Chelsea aren’t prepared to give him a longer contract, then the parties will be at an impasse.
At that point, it could make sense to sell Willian in January, but selling him to a rival for a top-four place would be a very curious move for the Blues, one that we can’t see them making.
