Arsenal fans beg Olivier Giroud to avoid Spurs move

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud could well be on the move before the end of the month.

However, plenty of Arsenal fans are desperate for their former striker to dodge a move to north London rivals Tottenham.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, World Cup winner Giroud is open to all offers out of Stamford Bridge.

The 33-year-old scored over 100 times for Arsenal before joining Chelsea in January 2018, but it looks as if there’s an outside chance he could now join a third London heavyweight.

Ornstein claims that Spurs’ hunt for a striker looks unlikely to materialise unless they can sign Giroud, however, the Blues won’t allow a deal to go through unless they can bring in a replacement.

It looks set to be an interesting end to the transfer window for both Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho, which could have a serious impact on both sides’ hopes of securing Champions League qualification.

And when Ornstein shared the latest update regarding Giroud on social media, it didn’t take long for several Gunners supporters to weigh in with their views.
