Chelsea joined thousands of people at Pride in London as the club promoted visibility, belonging and community across football.
Chelsea staff, Foundation representatives and members of Chelsea Pride travelled through central London on a dedicated float. Around 70 people joined the group, including drag performer Paige Three, reporter Snake Denton and club mascots Stamford and Bridget.
The parade travelled from Hyde Park Corner through Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square before reaching Whitehall. Chelsea’s official Pride in London footage captured the club’s latest appearance at the annual celebration.
Chelsea first joined the parade alongside its official LGBTQIA+ supporter group in 2018. The event now forms part of the club’s wider Proud Everyday inclusion strategy.
Chelsea Pride in London strengthens year-round work
Chelsea Pride chair and founder Tracy Brown praised the long-standing partnership between the supporter group and the club. Chelsea Pride will celebrate its tenth anniversary later this year.
Brown said the parade gave supporters the chance to celebrate authenticity and equality. She also stressed the importance of creating hope for future generations of football fans.
Fan Advisory Board member Anna Phillips believes visible support remains important within the sport. She praised Chelsea for working to create an environment where every supporter feels welcome.
Chelsea’s equality, diversity and inclusion lead Trisha Champaneri added that football includes many different supporters and expressions of fandom. She said Chelsea want people to feel valued across the men’s team, Chelsea Women and the Foundation.

The parade provided the most public example of that work. However, Chelsea have stressed that inclusion must continue throughout the year rather than ending after Pride celebrations.
Chelsea Pride’s approaching anniversary also reflects the progress made through sustained cooperation. The next challenge involves ensuring every supporter feels the same sense of belonging on matchdays.
