Roma have identified Jamie Gittens as a possible option as they continue their search for a left winger.
Roma interest in Jamie Gittens follows Chelsea’s £117million signing of Morgan Rogers, which has increased competition for attacking places under Xabi Alonso.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Gittens could become an alternative if Chelsea decide to make him available. Roma are also considering Antonio Nusa, although RB Leipzig’s valuation is understood to be between €55million and €60million.

Gittens joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund last summer but endured an interrupted first season because of muscular injuries. The 21-year-old struggled to establish himself as a regular starter and now faces further competition within Alonso’s squad.
Rogers can operate from the left, while Pedro Neto and Estêvão also provide wide options. Chelsea have already allowed Alejandro Garnacho to join Aston Villa on loan, but another departure could depend on Alonso’s assessment during pre-season.
Gittens has been included in Chelsea’s initial 27-man squad for their tour of Australia and Asia. ReadChelsea covered the confirmed travelling group, with the winger selected alongside Liam Delap and João Pedro.
His inclusion suggests an exit is not currently advanced. Chelsea can still listen to proposals later in the window if Gittens’ route to regular minutes becomes limited.
Roma want another winger before the start of their season and may consider a temporary agreement if their preferred targets prove too expensive. However, Corriere dello Sport does not report any formal talks with Chelsea at this stage.
