Chelsea show interest in striker after stunning 15-goal start

Chelsea have shown interest in Robbie Ure after the IK Sirius striker produced a remarkable 15-goal start to the Swedish league season.

The 22-year-old has scored 15 times and provided two assists from 15 Allsvenskan appearances, attracting attention beyond Sweden.

According to Sport Witness, Chelsea and Manchester City are both in the picture for Ure following his prolific campaign.

Sevilla have gone further by opening formal negotiations with Sirius, although an agreement has not yet been reached.

There is currently no suggestion Chelsea have submitted an offer.

Robbie Ure attracting Chelsea interest

Ure came through Rangers’ academy before leaving Scotland for Anderlecht in 2023. He eventually moved to Sirius in March 2025 and has since established himself as one of the most productive forwards in Sweden.

His latest numbers make the interest understandable.

Ure has started all 15 of his league appearances this season and has averaged a goal per game, while his contract runs until December 2029.

Chelsea’s interest would also fit a familiar recruitment pattern.

The Blues continue to invest in players with room to develop, with summer signing Marco Palestra already making a strong impression during pre-season. ReadChelsea recently analysed how Palestra is pushing for a bigger role under Xabi Alonso.

Ure would face considerable competition for minutes at Stamford Bridge, particularly given the number of attacking options already available to Alonso.

That may give Sevilla an advantage if they can offer a clearer route to regular first-team football.

For now, Chelsea’s involvement remains at the interest stage. Ure’s scoring record means he is unlikely to be short of options if Sirius decide to sell.
