PSG have made contact over a potential move for Malo Gusto as Chelsea continue working on player sales during the final weeks of the transfer window.
The French champions had already been linked with the Chelsea right-back, but the situation has now reportedly taken another step.
According to Si Phillips Talks Chelsea, PSG are among the clubs to have recently made contact regarding Gusto.
There is currently no suggestion that a formal bid has been submitted or that negotiations are advanced.
Chelsea are instead assessing their options as Xabi Alonso reshapes a squad which could still see several departures before the window closes.
PSG make contact as Chelsea consider Gusto future
Gusto is not thought to be a player Chelsea are actively trying to force out of Stamford Bridge.
However, the Blues have previously indicated that they would listen to a sufficiently attractive offer for the France international, while reports this week have placed his valuation at around £75million.
Manchester City have also shown interest during the summer, leaving Chelsea with a potentially valuable decision to make if either club turns interest into a serious offer.
The arrival of Marco Palestra has strengthened Alonso’s options on the right. ReadChelsea reported on Thursday that the summer signing is already pushing for a larger role after an encouraging pre-season.
Reece James remains captain and can also operate from the right, meaning Chelsea have greater depth in an area where Gusto was previously one of their most important players.
That does not make a sale inevitable.
Gusto is still only 23 and featured regularly last season, but PSG making contact gives Chelsea another significant transfer decision before the window closes.
If their £75m valuation is approached, the conversation could quickly become more serious.
