Chelsea Women’s confirmed XI vs Lyon sees Lauren James drop to the bench as Sonia Bompastor makes two changes for her return to her former club.

Sjoeke Nüsken replaces James, while Veerle Buurman comes into the side for Katie McCabe following Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal.

Bompastor again trusts her alongside Walsh for the Women’s Champions League fixture.

Lucy Bronze captains Chelsea and is one of four starters facing their former club, alongside Kadeisha Buchanan, Ellie Carpenter and Melvine Malard.

James offers an attacking option from the bench, where Sandy Baltimore, Maika Hamano and Aggie Beever-Jones are also available.
