When Joao Pedro scored his incredible bicycle kick against Nottingham Forest, there was barely a celebration. The game had been well and truly lost by then as Chelsea were set to taste defeat for the sixth consecutive time in the Premier League. All he could manage was some light applause and appreciation for the effort, […]
It would be safe to say that the Chelsea ownership are under heavy pressure at the moment. The fans are clearly frustrated. It is not a rare sight to see them walk out of games early these days. It is happening pretty much every week now. And for understandable reasons. Chelsea have lost six games […]
Most of the talk surrounding Chelsea at the moment is regarding the next manager of the club. The Blues had to sack Liam Rosenior after just 107 days in charge, after he had been brought in from Strasbourg. For context, he had been handed a six-and-a-half-year contract. You can imagine how badly that appointment went. […]
In the BlueCo era, Chelsea have rarely made decisions that have gone down well with the supporters. And it looks like the club might be continuing on that path for the time being. Of course, the biggest story surrounding the Blues right now is their managerial search. They need to bring in someone to take […]
Jamie Carragher is one of those people who can say “I told you so” about Chelsea after how their season has unravelled over the past four or five months. It is easy to forget that at one point this season, they were being viewed as title contenders. They also completely outplayed FC Barcelona in the […]
Chelsea’s recent form is a major concern and they could finish as low as 16th in the Premier League this season. The ownership have talked about ‘tweaking’ things this summer but what the club needs right now is a complete reset. Whatever they have been doing over the past four years has not worked at […]
One of the biggest worries for Chelsea coming out of the game against Nottingham Forest was the condition of Jesse Derry. The academy winger had been handed his first Premier League start and was actually one of the Blues’ better players on the day. But before half-time, he suffered a clash of heads with Zach […]
It would be safe to say that Chelsea need to drastically strengthen their squad this summer. The defeat against Nottingham Forest’s second-string side at home was their sixth in a row in the Premier League. It is their worst run of form since 1993. And things are not expected to get any better, with most […]
Calum McFarlane sprang a surprise yesterday when it emerged that neither Alejandro Garnacho nor Pedro Neto were in the starting XI against Nottingham Forest. Both have faced their fair share of criticism lately. That being said, with the lack of depth and options, they were expected to start on the day. There was also a […]
It would be safe to say that Chelsea are not having the season that they would have hoped for. After winning the Club World Cup, it had looked like the BlueCo project was on the right path. But it has all come down like a house of cards. Enzo Maresca left in the middle of […]
Everything that could have gone wrong for Chelsea did in the game against Nottingham Forest. They went down within two minutes and there was no coming back from there. Inside 15 minutes, the score was 2-0 in favour of the visitors, who had actually put out a depleted team with a second leg of the […]
Chelsea hit a new low today. But at this point, it feels like we say that pretty much every week these days. Six straight losses in the Premier League. It is the first time that has happened since 1993. They have also lost four consecutive games at home. This is the only second time this […]
