Chelsea might have a different manager in the dugout but it does not look like much has changed for this team. Against a depleted Nottingham Forest team, they were completely outplayed and soundly defeated. 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. What was once a fortress has now become every visiting team’s favourite ground. In the process, Chelsea […]
It would be safe to say that Calum McFarlane had quite a few surprises up his sleeve for the game against Nottingham Forest. The Chelsea boss named Jesse Derry in the starting XI. That is a move that not many would have predicted, despite the fact that Alejandro Garnacho had struggled for form for weeks […]
Mauricio Pochettino revealed in a recent interview that he had only had a say in two signings Chelsea had made in the summer he arrived. Axel Disasi, because Wesley Fofana was injured in pre-season, and Cole Palmer. That goes to show one of the central problems with the club right now. BlueCo appear to have […]
If there is one position where Chelsea need to strengthen urgently this summer, it is centre-back. The Blues have been defensively poor all season. Levi Colwill’s ACL injury played a part in that. But then again, your base cannot completely collapse based on the absence of just one player. That goes to show that the […]
Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are currently in the middle of one of the most entertaining Champions League fixtures we have witnessed in decades. But it is not just on the pitch that the two European giants might be competing at the moment. It looks like they have their eyes set on a Chelsea defender […]
Chelsea and Nottingham Forest are set to face each other in a game that could have an effect on both ends of the points table. The Blues might be out of top five contention realistically but that does not mean that they can allow the rest of the Premier League campaign to drift by. If […]
Who will be the next manager of Chelsea? All the fans are trying to figure out the answer to that question. It has been a problem for the Blues for years now. The club have never had a settled head coach during the BlueCo era. To be fair, that was the case under the previous […]
Chelsea’s need to strengthen at centre-back is no secret. Levi Colwill got injured in pre-season and without him, the Blues have looked directionless at the back. Trevoh Chalobah is the only one to show some consistency. And even then, most believe he is not good enough to be starting for a top-level Premier League club. […]
The biggest decision Chelsea will make this summer will be regarding their next manager. For the four seasons under BlueCo, that has been a trial-and-error method. And there have been plenty of errors to say the least. Graham Potter and Liam Rosenior both failed to meet minimum expectations. Mauricio Pochettino left just when it looked […]
Chelsea could do with a few more goalscorers right now. The club have not scored in their last five Premier League outings, all of which ended in losses. That is their worst run of form since 1912, more than a century ago. That is how historically bad the Blues are right now when it comes […]
Whether you like it or not, it is almost always an eventful day to be a Chelsea fan. In recent times, it has mostly been for things the club have gotten wrong. But this summer, one would hope that the BlueCo board are trying to put it all in place for future success. Chelsea will […]
Under the BlueCo ownership, Chelsea have consistently tried to sign the best youngsters from around world football. Of course, such moves are always risky. Only a select number of players manage to reach their potential. And it is always difficult to predict. Unsurprisingly, most of the Blues’ signings have not worked out, one of the […]
