Reports from The Telegraph suggest that Radamel Falcao is desperate to secure a summer move to the Premier League champions. After Manchester United decided against the option to make his loan move from AS Monaco a permanent move, Stamford Bridge could be his next destination.
The Colombian is willing to take a major pay cut in order to secure a move. Falcao is currently earning around £265,000 a week which would make him Chelsea’s highest earner, above the Player of the Season, Eden Hazard. After enduring a tough season at Old Trafford, AS Monaco are looking to offload the striker, either on loan again or permanently.
Falcao could fill the space left by the out going Didier Drogba, as well as this, Mourinho and Falcao share the same agent in Jorge Mendes. A move to Jose Mourinho’s side will only look likely should Falcao take a pay cut. Should he make the switch, he would be the second Colombian at the club, alongside Juan Cuadrado.
