Earlier this evening we broke you the news, in the same night Eden Hazard was crowned Chelsea’s Player of the Season and the Player’s Player of the season, Jose Mourinho was recognized by the League Managers Association and was awarded the manager of the season. The award may come as a surprise to ‘the special one’, despite leading Chelsea to Premier League glory, he had failed to win a single Manager of the Month award throughout the entire Premier League season.
Mourinho caused controversy as he chose not to attend tonight’s award ceremony as he was at Chelsea’s end of season awards night. Mourinho’s side won the Premier League with an eight point lead and many will agree the award is well deserved.
