Chelsea fan Clive O’Connell who appeared in a Youtube video calling Liverpool fans “scouse scum” has been sacked from his law firm today.
Goldberg Segalla, the law firm in question, released a statement earlier today via their managing director Rick Cohen announcing he was to be removed from his position because they demand employees must be “better human beings than lawyers”.
After the video from Neek Sports went viral following Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool last weekend, a number of journalists spoke out against O’Connell and sent the video in the direction of the company who subsequently made their decision.
O’Connell did apologise after the video speaking to the Evening Standard saying he let his “emotions get the better of me” and that he was “very disappointed” after the game itself, but further claims from other regional newspapers such as the Liverpool Echo didn’t help his cause.
Since the news of his sacking from the company went viral, just like the video, this morning, the vast majority have come out to support the former-Lawyer.
Can't believe someone's been sacked for talking shite about football. https://t.co/HIOhhi7xR9

Clive O’Connell has received overwhelming support from the majority who suggest everyone has said something they shouldn’t have in the heat of a football match.
