Chelsea are reportedly looking to add some of the Premier League’s finest young talent to their squad according to the Daily Mail.
The current Premier League champions have been abysmal this season and their squad is looking bleak with not much depth to boast about either.
In an attempt to bolster their squad, they’re on the hunt for the best young talent in the league and have identified three young targets.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Newcastle United’s Jamaal Lascelles and finally, Tottenham’s Danny Rose. Not only would these three players decrease the age of the squad, but they would also increase the grown status of the squad.
The report suggests that Chelsea are currently scouting and keeping tabs on all three players, as well as Birmingham’s Demarai Gray, who has impressed in the Championship.
Chelsea are looking to prepare to make the spine of their team home-grown in the coming years and whilst any moves for these players may not be immediate, they could be players that Mourinho and Roman Abramovich decide to move for.
