Thibaut Courtois is expected to return to the Chelsea squad in mid-December according to West London Sport.
Courtois has been out of action after undergoing knee surgery way back in September. Ever since the Belgian had been out of action, Asmir Begovic has enjoyed a solid run between the sticks for Chelsea.
Begovic has been one of the few highlights of Chelsea’s season so far.
Mourinho had recently revealed there was a small chance that Courtois could return for the game against Tottenham on Sunday after the Belgian returned to training recently.
However, Mourinho has now admitted it could be a couple more weeks until Chelsea fans see the Belgian back in action.
He said:
Courtois is training with the team but not playing Sunday. I would go for the first 15 days [of December].
This means that he could return against high-flying Leicester City or against Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland, which looks the more likely game out of the two. Which are scheduled for the 14th and 19th December respectively.
