Teixeira wants to work with Mourinho

Reported Chelsea target, Alex Teixeira has been speaking about the possibility of joining Chelsea and working under Jose Mourinho.

The midfielder exclusively spoke to Brazilian media outlet Lance, Teixeira revealed that Chelsea are one of three clubs to make transfer proposals to Shakhtar Donetsk.

What I saw and what my manager said was that Chelsea, Juventus and PSG made proposals. I’m glad to have received the proposal of Chelsea is a big club in Europe, but my manager will sort that.

Chelsea are long-term admirers of the Brazilian and Teixeira has previously admitted that he has known about Chelsea’s interest for a long time and would love to move Stamford Bridge.

It’s my dream, I have spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League, because I think it’s the best World Championship, more contested, and I have this challenge in my career.

Teixeira scored two goals during the week against Rafael Benitez and had put in a number of impressive performances in the Champions League. Any deal would reportedly cost around £30m.

He went on to say:

For January, I believe it is very difficult because it is in the middle of the championship. Shakhtar has said they will not release me in January, only at the end of the season. But I’m with a clear head.

He has been in amazing form this season, he has scored an impressive 23 goals in 23 games in all competitions.

The 25-year-old says he hopes Mourinho does not leave Chelsea as he hopes to work with ‘the special one’ at some point during the future.

I hope he does not leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success at his side.
