Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says that the team want to beat Porto for their fans, per the Evening Standard.
The ‘keeper only recently returned from injury for Jose Mourinho’s side and is adamant that the Chelsea players will perform for the fans against Porto:
We want to give our fans a victory because this season we’ve lost too many games at home and it shouldn’t be like that.
Chelsea only need to draw against Porto to qualify for the last 16 of the competition, but the Belgian keeper was against the idea of settling for a point:
If you play just to draw you never know what can happen in the last minute, so we will play to win. All the players have to improve our level, we are a team but sometimes individually we haven’t been at our best.
The Blues will face a Porto side that have never won on English soil, and a victory would confirm Chelsea as group winners heading into the last 16.

Chelsea have performed below par this season and have already lost 10 matches in all competitions, including four at Stamford Bridge.
This has led to doubts being cast over the future of manager Jose Mourinho, but Chelsea’s number 13 said all members of the playing staff have to improve:
It’s easy to say it’s only the manager but every player, every member of the technical staff has to get better and then we will be near the top again.
A victory against Porto would provide a much-needed boost for Chelsea, and qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League might just be the kick start to the season that Jose Mourinho’s side need.
