Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira, according to the Daily Star.
The Brazilian is expected to cost about £30 million, but his goal scoring record this season could go some way to solving the Blues’ issues in front of goal.
Teixeira has scored 26 goals in 26 games in all competitions this term, including three in the Champions League group stages. He has also averaged over one goal per game in the Ukranian Premier Liga.

The 25-year-old had been in talks to join the reigning Premier League champions whilst Jose Mourinho was still in charge of the club, but the uncapped Brazilian is said to still be keen to complete the move to Chelsea.
Chelsea will be recruiting another player capable of playing in multiple attacking positions in Teixeira, and the Brazilian may also provide competition for players like Eden Hazard and compatriots Willian and Oscar.
Teixeira joined Shakhtar from Brazilian outfit Vasco de Gama in December 2009 and has scored 89 times in over 200 games with the Ukranian side.
