New Chelsea signing Matt Miazga is ready to show his quality and bring his no-nonsense style of play to his new club, according to the Daily Star.
In the interview, the American defender said:
My game is definitely built on winning aerial challenges and tackles.
As a centre-back you have to have an aerial presence and win a lot of headers, and my job is to win duels and not let opponents score, so every time I try to get a good tackle in and make my opponent know that I am there and it is not going to be an easy time trying to go by me.
Chelsea beat off interest from a host of rivals to win the race for the highly rated New York Red Bulls defender, who is still a rather unknown quantity having only appeared 34 times for the Red Bulls.
However, the 20-year-old is clearly viewed as a valuable addition to the squad by management after he was named in the Champions League squad, despite his January arrival.

Miazga took part in the training this week and has already begun to adapt to the English game.
I really like it, it is a higher level, the ball moves much faster but yeah, it is good. All the guys are very welcoming and I am really enjoying it.
