Manchester United and Italy right-back Matteo Darmian effectively confirmed the rumour that Italy manager Antonio Conte will be heading to the Premier League next season after tipping his coach to do well in England.
According to the Metro, after Italy’s 1-1 draw with Spain last night, Darmian told reporters:
I think Conte will do well in England. He has already proved that he is a great coach and will have no problem adapting to English football.
Conte has been linked with the Chelsea job for well over a month now, and while rumours have continued to gain strength, there has been no official confirmation yet from either the Italian FA or Chelsea themselves that Conte is the man to replace Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge.
As of now, it appears that Conte will resign from coaching the Italian national team after the Euro 2016 competition this summer and make the transition back to club football, the Premier League being his destination.

The last club that Conte managed was Juventus between 2011 and 2014, where he won the Serie A in all three seasons in charge as well as two Supercoppa Italiana’s.
After a torrid season, Chelsea are in the market for a new manager to steer the club back in the right direction, and Conte seems to be the perfect fit.
