Chelsea FC have announced via their official website, that the team will play two friendlies in Austria this July.
Chelsea travelled to Austria two summers ago under Jose Mourinho. I think you’ll remember what happened last time the Blues made a pre-season stop in Austria.

Antonio Conte’s first match in charge of the Blues will be against Rapid Vienna on Saturday 16th July (kick-off at 5 p.m.) as the Austrian side open up their new Allianz Stadion home.
Allianz Stadion is a 28,500-seat, one-tier stadium built west of Vienna and will be an upgrade on Rapid Vienna’s current Gerhard Hanappi Stadium.
The Blues will then travel to Worthersee Stadion to square off against WAC RZ Pellets on Wednesday 20th July (kick-off at 7 p.m.). The two teams played to a 1-1 draw during Chelsea’s Austrian trip in 2014.
During the trip, the team will be based in the market town of Velden in Carinthia, the same southern region that housed the Blues two years ago.
It was confirmed a few weeks ago that Chelsea would be traveling to the United States over the summer to play in the International Champions Cup for the second year in a row and third time in four years. During the tournament, Chelsea will go up against Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
All pre-season matches will air live and exclusively on Chelsea TV in the UK and Ireland.
