Eden Hazard states his commitment to Chelsea ‘for now’

Eden Hazard has stated that he is still a Chelsea player ‘for now’, amidst rumours that the Belgian international could be on his way to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, according to Johnny Singer of the Mail Online.

Hazard, who has yet to score a Premier League goal for the Blues this season, has been frequently linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid this season. However, Hazard moved to put an end to these rumours, for now, making it clear that he aims to help Chelsea finish the season strongly.

Have I signed for Real? No, that’s not true, I do not know who said that. For now, I am at Chelsea. I have a season to finish, and my contract ends in four years. For now, I’m here, and I am, and I want to get back on the field with Chelsea.

The former PFA Player of the Year has been out since early March with a hip injury but has confirmed he has now returned to training and is ready to play for Chelsea.

I’m fine, I’ve been back training for the last three or four days. Sometimes it does still hurt a little because I try to force it, but I hope to be ready for Chelsea’s next matches.

I am hungry for football, as always, but even more because it’s been a month that I have been on the side. I am impatient to come back, play and score.

Only time will tell for Chelsea fans waiting to see the Belgian winger back in action at Stamford Bridge. The club’s next home game comes in the shape of Manchester City, who visit the Bridge on Saturday for a late kick-off.
