Pogba and Nainggolan both happy in Serie A

Two of Chelsea’s long-term transfer targets, Paul Pogba, and Radja Nainggolan have both dealt the club a blow today by suggesting they are happy to stay in Italy.

According to the Daily Mail, both players have insisted they wish to stay at their current clubs, Juventus and Roma.

Sources from inside Stamford Bridge believed that Nainggolan would become new Blues manager Antonio Conte’s first signing, with rumours suggesting talks between Roma and Chelsea were in advanced stages, close to finalising a £26 million deal for the midfielder.

However, the Belgian himself has reassured fans that he wishes to stay at Roma, and has been quoted by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, saying:

I’m staying, I’m not moving from here. I’m fine in Rome, I do not want to go.

As for Paul Pogba, he has turned his focus to Euro 2016, where he will be hoping to inspire his French side to victory at their home tournament. Speaking to the same paper, he also made his intentions clear and has said that he wants to develop further in Turin.

I have to grow up and try to do the right things at the right time, this is where I can improve, I’m still young, I’m seeking perfection and I hope to achieve it.

With the season drawing to a close this weekend, and the transfer window opening soon, the futures of these two stars is still unclear, but the prospect of seeing at least one of them at Stamford Bridge next season is exciting for fans.
