Diego Costa and Diego Simeone have been dining together as the pair reunited for some food.
Costa played under Simeone at Atletico Madrid for two and a half seasons and the pair are said to still have a close friendship.
Costa has never hidden his admiration for the Argentinian manager nor his love for the Spanish side he manages.
After last season’s disappointing effort in the Premier League, Costa said:
I wished I could go back to Atletico, I’m not going to lie. I had the chance to go back but I couldn’t, because of a few details. I’m grateful to the people at Atletico, to Cholo [Simeone] especially, who has always put his confidence in me.
Simeone also declared he had tried to re-sign Costa but he failed in his attempts to do so.
Still at Chelsea, however, the Spanish striker is now enjoying life far more under Antonio Conte, with nine goals in 11 league games so far this season.
His latest Spain call-up has given Costa the opportunity to catch up with Simeone and he posted an image of them both on his Instagram.

This will undoubtedly cause rumours to circulate about a return to La Liga for Costa, but this is more likely to be a harmless meal between friends.
