Frank Lampard has reportedly been back to Cobham to begin work on his coaching badges, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The club apparently want to ensure that Lampard does not follow the path of Arsenal legend Patrick Viera, who left Arsenal to become a member of Manchester City’s academy staff and as such, they are making a concerted effort to bring their club legends back into the fold.
Chelsea reportedly intend to make room in the club’s coaching hierarchy for Lampard in a similar way to what Liverpool have done for Steven Gerrard.

At the moment, Lampard will continue working towards earning his B license at the club’s training facility and Chelsea hope that other former players such as Didier Drogba, will soon follow suit.
If the careers of both continue down the coaching path, it may only be a matter of time before Lampard and Gerrard rekindle their famous rivalry on the sidelines after many years of battling on the pitch.
