Antonio Conte will be looking to add depth to his squad this summer in order to build a side capable of contending both in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
One player Chelsea are said to be interested in signing is Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko who is valued at £42m by the newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions.
Bakayoko has really emerged as one of Europe’s best young central midfielders with his combative displays for Monaco in the Champions League, playing an integral part in their league and European success.
Chelsea have made contact and are in discussions with Monaco over the transfer of the 22-year-old but the Mirror claim that Manchester United are also interested in signing Bakayoko this summer.
Tipped for a big future after making his debut for France back in March, the former Rennes standout hasn’t agreed anything concrete with the Blues yet and is said to be calm and happy with life at Monaco but is intrigued by the opportunity of working under a top manager like Conte or Jose Mourinho.
