According to the Chronicle Live, Newcastle have been linked with a move for Chelsea striker Loic Remy.
Rafa Benitez is looking to bolster his squad as his Newcastle side make their return to the Premier League after winning the Championship last season, getting promotion at the first tome of asking.
With Daryl Murphy leaving St James’ Park for Nottingham Forest recently, the Spaniard is looking for a new striker option, with Dwight Gayle, Aleksander Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez being their only striking options now and Remy is being linked as a stop-gap option.

However, Benitez maybe put off as he is looking for someone young, fit and hungry to succeed and no signs of that were shown during Remy’s loan spell to Crystal Palace last season, as he made only eight appearances, getting zero goals or assists.
Remy had a successful spell at Newcastle in 2014/15, scoring 14 and assisting three in 27 appearances for The Magpies whilst on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
