Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been linked with a return to Italy to manage sleeping giant AC Milan, after admitting last week that he misses his home country and won’t stay away “for too long”.
According to TalkSPORT, AC Milan are interested in Conte, with the club having made a slow start to the season under the charge of former Sampdoria manager Vincenzo Montella.

Milan signed a whole host of players in the summer, including Leonardo Bonucci, Hakan Calhanoglu, Andre Silva, Ricardo Rodriguez and Lucas Biglia, but are currently in seventh place in Serie A, with 12 points from a possible 21.
Antonio Conte’s Chelsea meanwhile are fourth in the Premier League, but are six points behind first and second-placed Manchester City and Manchester United, who are separated by just one goal after seven Premier League games; both sides have won six and drawn one of their respective matches, conceding just two goals each, whilst City with 22 goals scored are narrowly ahead of United, who have found the back of the net 21 times so far this season.
Conte was quoted as saying “Italy is my homeland, so once I have had some good experiences, formative experiences, important and life-changing experiences, I’ll be back.” — so it is very clear that he won’t be at Chelsea for the long term.
