Kenedy yawn puts Blues future in doubt

Kenedy has put himself in hot water with Antonio Conte after yawning during the manager’s talk to the squad after the defeat in Rome.

The Blues lost their first match of the Champions League with a 3-0 loss away to AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

It was the first time this season that an English team had lost in the UEFA Champions League, with Spurs, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool all unbeaten.

After the loss, Conte spoke to his team and really got that fire and passion out that he shows on the touchline during matches.

Kenedy was a substitute and didn’t get put on by the Italian, and was seen yawning while the team was getting a firm talk from Conte after the match.

This campaign hasn’t been the best for the young Brazilian, who has only played twice, both in the EFL Cup, in the 5-1 win against Nottingham Forest and 2-1 win over Everton.

The 21-year-old winger was also sent home early one the Blues’ pre-season due to controversial social media posts.

It is increasingly hard for youngsters to get into Chelsea’s first team, and this may prove to make Kenedy’s chances even harder and may result in a move elsewhere.

Youngsters such as Isiah Brown, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham have all been loaned out by Conte for this season.

So Kenedy has not done himself any favours with this yawn, and it may see him find getting back into Chelsea’s first team the impossible task.
